Drills To Make You Better: Running Backs- Foot Fire and Explode

In any running back drill their 3 key elements that become key:

  1. Body Leverage
  2. Footwork/Change of Direction
  3. Explosion

In this drill you will see the running back explode through the arch keeping body at a low level to absorb the blow. He will change direction and simultaneously foot fire simulating moving around and by defenders. He will then explode over and away from the defenders to create separation.

This drill also works first step explosion, and leg drive.

Do this drill 5 reps at slow deliberate speed or 1/2 speed and 5 full speed in each direction to the right and then to the left.
