Daniel Calhoun: Walton High School football 5 Star making Big Moves
Daniel Calhoun, a newly enrolled junior at Walton High School in Marietta, Georgia has recently earned a five-star rating from NUC Sports. He is seen as a top prospect for the 2024 college football class.
Calhoun grew up around the game of football, his father played at Alabama, his oldest brother played for the University of Minnesota, and his middle brother played in the ACC. The football pedigree runs deep and it shows on the field. Daniel attributes much of his success to the hard work, and guidance provided by his family.
He has always been a major contributor to his team, but his work ethic and natural athletic ability really began to shine during his junior year. During this time, he proved himself to be a team leader and a reliable asset on the field. He was often the go-to player when his team was in need of a big play, opening up tremendous holes and ultimately dominating in the trenches.
In terms of physical ability, Calhoun is a natural athlete. He has quick feet and is both strong and powerful. Additionally, he plays with an overall nastiness that is top-notch to go with a football IQ that is incredibly high. All of these attributes contributed to his five-star rating from NUC Sports.
He is now being recruited by some of the top college football programs in the country. His future looks bright, and it seems likely that he will gain even more recognition and success in the future. Walton High School a 7a school in Georgia will reap the immediate benefits from having such a high caliber player enrolling in their school. Calhoun has just transferred from the smaller 5a Centennial High School, explaining that the higher level of competition will help him at the next level. Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Texas, Clemson, Florida, Ohio State, Michigan, and Miami are just a few of the programs hoping to land the 6-7′ 350 pound Offensive Lineman.
