Dakorien Moore – Sophomore Standout Turning Heads at Duncanville HS
Even though he is only a freshman, Dakorien Moore has already established himself as a standout player at perennial Texas powerhouse Duncanville High School. The 6’0”, 175 pound wide receiver possesses elite athleticism and playmaking ability that could make him one of the top prospects in the 2025 recruiting class.
As a freshman in 2022 as a 15/16 year old sophomore, Moore saw significant playing time for a Duncanville team that went 15-1 and advanced to the state championship game. He shined as both a receiver and kick returner, flashing his explosiveness and versatility. Moore hauled in 25 receptions for 450 yards and 5 touchdowns while also contributing on special teams.
His explosive sophomore season has caught the attention of football programs across the country. While Moore has yet to receive an official offer, schools like Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, and USC have all expressed early interest. Coaches are intrigued by his combination of speed, elusiveness, and hands.
Moore runs crisp routes and has the speed to get separation from defenders. Once the ball is in his hands, he has rare open field quickness to avoid tackles and pick up extra yards. Moore also shows no hesitancy going over the middle to make tough catches in traffic.
Duncanville coaches have praised Moore’s work ethic and competitive drive at such a young age. He has been putting in extra work to hone his route running and add more strength.
With two seasons of high school football still remaining, Dakorien Moore has enormous potential. If he continues developing at his current trajectory, Moore could emerge as one of the most coveted skill position prospects in the nation for 2025. He will be a prospect for college coaches to monitor closely over the next couple years.
