Miyaire Elliott: Newark High School Football : 2025 named DL MVP at the NUC Winterfest Prospect Showcase !!!
Miyaire Elliott, a member of the Newark High School football team in Wilmington, Delaware recently participated in an early off-season showcase presented by NUC Sports in which he put his talents on display and earned himself a DL MVP award.
Elliott, a junior at Newark High School, had a fantastic day dominating his competition in both drill and competition periods. He displayed great strength and power throughout the entire session. The 2025 prospect showed off his athleticism during the agility portion of the day. Miyaire showcased his ability to change direction and displayed great overall agility skills for a big man. Participants went through a variety of drills to display their overall agility ability as well as speed. He exhibited quickness and excellent lateral movement throughout the agility station period of the workout.
Miyaire immediately turned heads with fantastic footwork and technique in position specific drills, especially for a 6.1” 280 pound high school junior. His footwork was smooth and sharp, his steps were fast and technically sound, with little head movement all the while keeping great balance throughout each rep. He displayed excellent get off and power from a lineman stance.
In terms of physical ability, he has a quick first step, allowing him to fire off the ball. You could tell his football knowledge and IQ are above average in terms of overall understanding of the game itself. The placement of his hands and the angles he took firing off the ball were extremely impressive!
Elliott will compete against some of the best talent in the state as he moves into his Senior year. His potential to grow both mentally and physically are extremely high. His body and mind will continue to mature. The one thing that separates him from others is the fact that he is a true competitor and will continue to work hard to improve.
