And it's part two here now I'm just to Show you some specific techniques so we Talked about last time our linebacker Stance and I'll stay a little bit Farther back so we can so we can Understand that but the next thing That's really critical with respect to Being able to feed a blocker is your Leverage so your leverage has to be Below Okay the helmet level of the of the Offensive lineman so that's why our Stance is so critical when our shoulders Are down our body is down and our head Is up we're able to deliver the blow Okay Bringing our hips in our body and be Below the head level of of the actual Offensive lineman or the blocker when Our bot our pad level is above them We're in a position where we're gonna Absorb the blow so we want to make sure That our pad level is below their pad Level okay if our helmet is below their Helmet that means that probably our pad Level is below their pad level okay so That's an important thing so when our Pad levels below when we strike and be Able to deliver blow it is literally a Punch with our hands in order to be able To take on a defender but the key thing With offensive linemen is not whether You don't want to be taking on offensive Linemen all day because they're bigger
Than you in a lot of cases you can lose So use your speed and quickness to be Able to gain leverage so we talked about A lot of times is selling them opposite Of where you want to go so if a lineman Is coming on his own block towards you Okay and you should take a hard step in That direction quick step and then Deliver to blow into them you may be Able to get their leverage going over The top and then thereby be able to get Control underneath them and to be able To get them in any direction okay you Used to understand leverage that you Have to have so when you sell something Like a quick heart Stephan didn't Deliver to blow you have to be able to Maintain that leverage to your gap so That's really really critical so that's The first thing being have your pad Level below there paddle up be able to Deliver to blow and to be able to have Leverage based off of moves that you may You may take
