Chris Cole – LB – Salem High School – VA – 2024 – joins the NUC 5 Star Club !!!!

Chris Cole: Salem High School Football New 5 Star continues to Improve.

Chris Cole, a rising Junior at Salem High School in Virginia, has recently been lauded for his football excellence. He recently earned a five-star rating from NUC Sports, and is seen as a top prospect for college football.

Cole attributes much of his success to the hard work and dedication he put in while growing up. He started seriously training when he was in high school and started to gain recognition as he developed.  He eventually changed positions this year going from Defensive Back to more of a Hybrid Linebacker role where he only continued to flourish.

He has always been a major contributor to his team, but his work ethic and natural athletic ability really began to shine through with maturity and development. During this time, he proved himself to be a team leader and a reliable asset on the field. He is always around the football and plays with a motor that doesn’t stop.

In terms of physical ability, Cole is a natural athlete. He has quick feet and has great closing speed, making him a powerful presence on defense. Additionally, his football IQ is incredibly high putting him in the right spot at the right time. All of these attributes helped him earn his five-star rating from NUC Sports.

He is now being recruited by some of the top college football programs in the country. His future looks bright, and it seems likely that he will gain even more recognition and success in the future. Salem High School can be proud to have had him as a student, and Ford is sure to go far in his collegiate career.

During his Junior year, he accounted for 76 tackles on defense 11 of which were for a loss.  He helped his team reach the Virginia State Finals earning him first team all-area as well as 2nd team all-state.  Football however isn’t this guys only varsity sport.  The 2024 LB prospect also competes in track.  He took 4th at the Nike Indoor in the 60 meter hurdles and placed 4th in the 55 meter.

Off the field, Cole is also related to former U of Miami player Rohan Marley, the son of famous singer/songwriter Bob Marley.

There is no doubt that this LB/Hybrid has all the skills to dominate at the next level.  He plays the game fast and physical, from sideline to sideline.  Cole has kept his DB skills, developed when younger and smashed them together with his newly acquired Linebacker skills giving him the ability to line up at multiple positions, giving defensive coordinators a Rolodex of options.  I look for this guy to be an impactful player from Day 1!
