Zach LaBarca: Donovan Catholic High School Football : 2026 QB shows off arm talent at Boardwalk Beast showcase!!!

Zach LaBarc, a Sophomore at Donovan Catholic High School in Toms River, New Jersey recently attended an early off-season showcase presented by NUC Sports/Boardwalk Beasts 7v7 Football club in which he put on display his talents earning himself a Top Performer award.

LaBarca, a 6.0 185 pound QB had a tremendous day in both drills and competition periods.  He displayed great arm talent and vision.  The new Boardwalk Beast product displayed his athleticism during the agility portion of the day.  He has the ability to change direction and overall agility skills to handle designed runs within an offense.  Participants went through a variety of drills to display their overall agility ability as well as speed.  He exhibited quickness and excellent footwork throughout the agility station period of the workout.

Zach, who saw some time as a sophomore at Donovan Catholic, immediately made his presence known with great footwork and technique in position specific drills.  His feet were smooth and technically sound, with great vision.  Zach made excellent decisions with throws into tight coverage and windows.  Offensively he really opened it up when it came to the team work period, letting some footballs fly giving playmaking WR’s opportunities.  He displayed great field awareness and timing, even with a group of unfamiliar WR’s.

In terms of physical ability, he used his arm talent to put the ball in the best spots for his WR’s to make plays.  You could tell his Football knowledge and IQ is above average and he takes coaching.  He has a great grasp of route depths and timing.

Zach will be on the U18 team where he will compete against some of the best talent around.  His growth both on and off the field as well as mentally and physically are extremely high.  LaBarca is around high level players on the regular, and I see no issue easing into that role with the others around him.  His body continues to mature and grow.  Zach is a true competitor and will improve with every practice and game played.  I can see this guy only adding to an already existing core of new and returning U18 Beasts.
