I think they should be able to play Whatever they want uh I have a Nine-year-old my um son who plays right Every sport and I you know you already Could see how there's so much crossover Like you'll play three three Sports in The same season so um because everything Is like somewhat year round you know What I mean yeah you know it's like Eight eight months out of the year if You're playing any kind of travel sport I got you huge cross huge Crossover yeah it's limiting because um You first of all you don't know what They're going to be good at down the Line I think that's one of the so you Know as kids develop and I've been doing This for a long time um I can't tell you How many times I had kids that were just Basketball players um didn't want to Play football come out for football and They become a division one athlete in Football and um so you know you could You could do a certain Sport and you may End up being better at another sport That's why I think uh playing multiple Sports is great it's great from a Crossover standpoint it lessens injuries I think it develops overall athleticism Which applies to anything so seven it's The same movement yeah yeah yeah seventh Eth grade you decide you don't want to Play XYZ sport okay anymore and you Maybe maybe you got burnt out by that
Sport well you've been play if you've Been playing multiple Sports you could Pick up another sport a lot easier Than if you've been highly specialized And I never thought of it like that That's what happens they drop out of Sports they're highly specialized and Let's say they get to high school and They oh I'm not quite as good as I Thought I was going to be and they drop Out of sports completely instead of Picking sport I never thought of it like That that makes a lot of sense
