The story of Ted Hendricks aka the stork Ted Hendricks also known as the stork is A former American football player who is Widely regarded as one of the greatest Defensive players in the history of the Sport He played in the National Football League NFL for 15 Seasons from 1969 to 1983 and during his career he won four Super Bowl championships and was named To the Pro Bowl eight times Hendricks was born on November 1st 1947 In Guatemala City Guatemala but he grew Up in Miami Florida He attended the University of Miami and Played college football for the Miami Hurricanes from 1966 to 1968. During his time at Miami Hendricks was a Standout defensive end and he was named A first-team All-American in 1968. After college Hendricks was drafted by The Baltimore Colts in the second round Of the 1969 NFL draft He played for the Colts for Four Seasons And was a key member of the team's Defense which helped them win Super Bowl 5 in 1971. in 1973 he was traded to the Green Bay Packers where he played for Two seasons before being traded again This time to the Oakland Raiders Hendricks played for the Raiders for Nine seasons and was a crucial part of Their defense during their successful Run in the 1970s
He helped the team win three Super Bowl Championships in 1976 1980 and 1983 and Was named to the Pro Bowl eight times During his time in Oakland Hendricks was known for his tall thin Frame which earned him the nickname the Stork and his long arms which he used to Great effect in batting down passes and Disrupting opposing quarterbacks After his playing career Hendricks went On to have a successful career in Business and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1990. today he Is remembered as one of the greatest Defensive players in the history of the NFL and his legacy continues to inspire Young players to this day
