It turned out I walk in the door and get Introduced and it's uh hey this is Eric Meley this is this is coach leech's new You know QB uh QB analyst you know Assistant type thing so I'm like well That that worked out well I think as far As physan goes you know I get to sit With him and you know get a master's Education in the air raid and uh and all That so I guess first weekend in there Um it's funny you know it's pulling OB Have you know some snow and some Colder Weather but we're in the office and it's It's 2:30 in the morning it's just me And him we're watching film there's a Whiteboard filled with Mafia Hierarchy uh y cross and tags on that Play and then there's the Vikings you Know where where they originated from And then there was mesh and different Variations of mesh Pizza spots across The country you know just so on and so Forth man so you're in there just you Know just having a blast man real Enjoyable and then uh you know hits Whatever about 2 2:30 in the morning He's like all right let's hit it for Tonight we'll come back tomorrow And I'm like hey coach would you mind Give me a ride home man you know I don't Have a car you know basically I got a Bike and I got a I'm hopp in the shuttle Like I'm a college kid you know this is Uh you know kind of 10 years into my
Coaching career you know right 30 you Know 31 32 years old and he goes he goes Ah sorry you know I can't you know I Walk to work and and as he's telling me This he's putting a a Minor's light on His head and these tracks on his shoes And he goes trkking off into this mouth And I'm like you gotta be kidding me man I guess I guess I'm walking back to my You know department or whatever so Sounds about right though yeah that was That was the beginning of the journey There with with him and uh you know got A rais pretty quick and then uh and Promoted onto the field kind of in that Second year and then coached uh coach Special teams for him and and coached Running backs and came Mississippi State And did the same thing and uh just you Know thankful and and and blessed that He gave me that opportunity
