Because it's affected High School Recuiting tremendously um Yeah got you know so the way we kind of Talk about it now is if um if a high School kid you know listen the slam dunk Top you know 200 guys in the country They have no problems um when you getto To like 250 300 to the next you know to Thous to to number thousand in the Country they have less offers than they Had before instead of them having 30 40 Offers those guys are going to have 10 Maybe 15 and um is that because of the Transfer portal is that what you're Definitely oh okay definitely so you the Way the transfer portal works just so You know for listeners because this is Really a big thing the way it works is There's there's a few periods where they Can jump in the transfer portal coaches Can recruit them and it's a frenzy so I Haven't looked in a while but you know You probably have toward 2,000 kids that Are in the transfer portal did you say 2,000 2000 yeah oh my God they're Probably sitting there right now you Know Jesus once you're in the portal if No one if no one uh is is looking for Your portal can you stay at the school That you are at you can you can okay can Yes so sometimes that becomes Dicey right um because You know as you could imagine you were a Coach you know in college you know kid
Kid wants to leave for whatever reason You know isn't playing enough isn't Happy you know who know a million Reasons you know or or better o some of These kids better opportunities right You go to let's say Yukon and I think One of the Yukon players this year Transferred up transferred quote unquote Up uh you Know you do really well you have a great Season and um You go and you are then uh you jump in a Transfer portal and you're star Yukon And you can go to you know a gigantic Power five school right so that's Happening at the lower levels it's Happening at the upper levels um coaches Leave a certain amount of spots for Transfer portal kids so that's that's a Huge thing it's a huge thing a lot of Kids do get left out
