He has placed first in state competitions for the past three years and was recently named to the All-American team for track and field. He has also ran the anchor leg of his team’s 4×100 meter relay, helping them win the state championships for the past two years. He has run 10.70 in the 100 meters, 21.82 in the 200 meters and 22’2 in the Long Jump as a sophomore.
Sammy Brown has also had success on the wrestling mat. He was a state champion in his weight class as a freshman and sophomore. Sammy Brown was the undisputed state champion, as the 220-lb sophomore went 34-2 overall and marched his way to a state title.
