Per Mike Farrell: Bryce Drew Backus is a Dominant QB and Here’s why
This is quarterback Bryce Drew bakis From Michigan class of 2027 6'3 180 Pounds that's important he's already got A good frame uh what's also important is He's an accurate passer as you see on That one getting out of the pocket this One here setting throwing um so 2027 is Young but it's not too young to evaluate And the reason for that is 2024 is Pretty much done that class is you know Signing in the next couple weeks um 2025 Quarterbacks I'd say probably 70 to 75% Done when it comes to scholarship offers Valuation star rankings all that fun Stuff um here's another one where he Gets out of the pocket delivers a very Very accurate ball um so then you're Looking at 2026 2027 college coaches are Looking to get ahead of the game they're Looking to put guys in buckets and silos And by that I mean is he an offer kid is He a you know a visit kid is he a uh you Know offer to come to camp kid is he a Down the Line kid is he a kid we don't Even want at all um and that's where This kid falls in he's yet to be siloed But when you watch his film you see his Frame his ability to throw outside the Pocket uh the footwork uh you know the Delivery at his 2027 all those things uh Then you can gauge interest and he's Starting to get interest from college Coaches for that particular reason as he Should um you know he's not too short
He's actually tall he's probably going To top out 646 5 got a good frame to Build on he's athletic as you can see Here he's accurate so he does all the Things you're looking for he has to Refine everything as any 2027 Quarterback does you know refining is Constant work and it happens in throwing Sessions training sessions all that Stuff he has to get bigger stronger Faster all those things is a 2027 but He's got the fundamental skills to be a Recruitable quarterback in 2027 so keep An eye on this kid it's too early but It's not too early for coaches to start Putting them in their silos uh and they Are starting to do that now so other Coaches better step up to do the same Thing
