It's just kind of what I call protecting Your base plays right that's that's what Bixby kind of coined it um Cameron talks About all the time but it's a whole new Way to think about Football um outside of hey I want to run You know however many plays and however Many formations and I'm just trying to Marry them just perfectly you know the Way they look at football now is it's It's quite a bit different it gets into This we're going to do one thing really Well and then we're going to put a bunch Of chaos around it and make your 15 to 18 year olds decipher what's going on Right so they call it kind of protecting Your base so that's what we're going to Get in today um see if I can present Here share my Screen and this one all Right so um here first is our uh Bas Play so you can kind of do this out any Formation we happen to be in an ace Formation Here getting a little lagging on my end So hopefully that doesn't keep up Because that would be Terrible come on huddle you can play Nice that's about right isn't It yeah usually part for the course Coach is it well I tell you what I'll do You one better hey now it's G to play There we go all right so base play GT Counter we've all kind of seen it before

We're running out of our Ace set here Right so we have the extra tight end on The the back side of the play to seal That defensive end um and we have an Extra tight end on the front side of the Play to help with down blocks who Happens to be the most physical specimen I've ever seen in my life number 44 if You're looking for a player at the Varsity or at the college level he's He's eligible he graduates this year so U you see I mean we're just kind of Getting it done right we love the play We like what it how we did it this is The first round of the playoffs for us I Believe um went down and played a really Good team in plan view down at armore Oklahoma but GT counter man it hits it's Been a great base play for us we love The play we're not doing anything you Guys aren't doing gap down back or up Front very simple rues stay on your Tracks we don't worry about double teams As much in this offense right I'm I'm Not worried about doubling up a nose or Double in a three in fact we found it Gets in our way when we start trying to Get double teams we're teaching uh Counter and power is like a gap plays so I don't want that stinking nose guard Having two dudes on him in the a gap I Want you to get him out of there um We'll move on to the next play here so Same thing may even be the same

Formation it is so it's just seen it hit Yet again right base play it works we're Getting seven eight nine yards out of it But we're not getting all these yards Just because the play works so well the Play is great until someone puts in a Scheme that stops it right so that kind Of gets us into protecting your base so How are we going to protect the base Play um so that people can't just tee Off on us and so then we go into the RPO World so RPO is is something that we Really like matter of fact on just about Every Run play there's going to be an RPO called we usually have a front side And a backside RPO as you can see here You know we're going to get a bubble out Of number three here to the trip side And on the far side we're going to get Like a little pivot route basically just A five yard out we're going to read and See if these outside backers can Interfere with what we're trying to do Honestly both of these are open right That the outside backer to each side um Doesn't really do anything that's going To change the game we could throw the Bubble to the front side and we have Numbers but he chooses the pivot on the Back side which is fine that's part of This offense is just letting your Quarterback do his thing right you're Not going to get onto him for having a Completion so we're still running GT

Counter you see our guys up front could Have handed it and probably went for Just as many yards but he uses to throw It but what that's going to do is later On in the game we're going to loosen That outside backer who's like crap I Got to get out there help with that pass Play because they're getting five yards A play once again this isn't any rocket Science game
