Kobe Black: Connally High School Football – named NUC 5 Star Defensive Back !!!
Kobe Black, is a junior at Connally High School in Waco, TX. The 2024 Defensive Back has recently been awarded a 5 star rating by NUC Sports. Black is one of the top Defensive Back prospects in the nation and has been labeled as the Best Overall Corner in the class.
The 6 foot 190 lb is perhaps the BEST overall Corner in the 2024 class. Offenses rarely through his way in 2022 essentially shutting down an entire side of the field. The athleticism can be seen in a multitude of ways, he is a three phase player making an impact on Defense, Offense, and on Special Teams. The ability to line him up at Running Back or Wide Receiver makes him a match up nightmare for any opposing defensive coordinator. Defensively, as stated Offensive Coordinators need to know where he is lining up, whether it be at Corner or Nickle!!! He has a high motor and finishes tackles with authority. He has excellent speed and runs extremely well! Kobe also plays with extreme confidence, his intelligence and high football IQ allow him to play faster than most!
Kobe is not only a stud on the football field but in other sports as well. He recently received All-League honors for his high school varsity basketball team and runs for the school track as well. Currently he runs the 4 x 100, 4 x 200, and 4 x 400 relays, where he and his teammates win a lot more than they lose ..
The top prospect has opened up an array of college football suitors calling for his services. He currently holds over 20 offers from some of the top college football programs in the country. His future looks bright, and it seems likely that he will gain even more recognition and success in the future. He currently holds offers from some big time schools, Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas, LSU, Clemson, Texas A&M, Florida, Colorado, and Miami have all extended formal offers.
Off the field, Black is the youngest son. The family is based around Sports, Dad played for the legendary Bill Snyder at Kansas State, his oldest brother played JUCO Basketball and his middle brother currently plays for Oklahoma State. He is a high character kid and a great teammate. Players want to be around him, his effort and hard work sets a tone that any locker room would want !!!
