Like I didn't know that but anyway like You know setting up a Twitter page for The for the young person teaching them Like I I equate recruiting is like a as Applying for a job like when you send a Message to a coach you don't want to Just talk you don't want to talk in Slang you don't want to type without a Period you don't want to type without Any Capitalization you know like just try to Like help them with that and be like Okay I you need to do your applications you Need to apply to the Clearing House you Need to do this like like it's totally Okay for them to read an email and say Okay John you have got to get your Application done and I and and to be Honest with you my mom did my applica I Think my my mom or my dad did my Applications remember sitting down I can Remember also like going to my guidance Counselors and asking questions right or Or even older teammates that had done it Right or had just been a part of it like Hey you know what did you do you know Like I can remember doing that a lot and That was in an era of I didn't really There was no social media when I was Coming out you know it was you know 2004 Right so it was still VHS types DVD type Stuff and all the communication was look My and my head coach wasn't you know out
There like you know he didn't know that World either but you respected what he Did know right and then you kind of took It from there and then every place I Went and visited those college coaches Would help me you know even if it wasn't Their school right just the answers to The questions that I needed in terms of Your application get it done or apply For Grants here or do that type of stuff Like and then handling that paperwork Now shows that coach that hey I can Count on this guy off the field which Only translates to his play so every Little piece of what you do and also Everything that you post we see or is Going to be looked at you know so you Gotta kind of look at it like you said Like a job interview
