Harlem Berry :St. Martin’s Episcopal Football .. combine Speed plus Power and you have NUC’s newest 2025 5 Star RB !!!!!
Harlem Berry a junior at St. Martin’s Episcopal High School in Metairie, Louisiana has recently been lauded for his football excellence. He recently earned a five-star rating from NUC Sports, and is seen as the number 1 overall running back prospect for the 2025 college football class.
Berry attributes much of his success to the hard work and dedication he put in while growing up. He started seriously training at a young age and only continued upon his arrival to high school. An impactful player as a freshman, he rushed for over 2,000 yards and 30 touchdowns. He followed that up with another dominant sophomore campaign amassing over 2,200 yards on just under 200 carries and 37 touchdowns! The success hasn’t only been on the football field, Harlem also took home the Louisiana State 100 meter championship with a time of 10.57 as just a sophomore and is now gaining recognition on not only a local but a national level as well.
He has always been a major contributor to his team, but his work ethic and speed really began to shine through once he hit high school! During this time, he proved himself to be a team leader and a reliable asset on the field and is often the go-to player when his team is in need of a big play. In terms of physical ability, a natural athlete at 5-11 175 pounds he continues to put on good weight as his body physically matures all while maintaining great speed and quickness. Additionally, his first step gives him the ability to make defenders miss. His football IQ is incredibly high, allowing him to understand defenses and the alignments of his opponents. All of these attributes helped him earn his five-star rating from NUC Sports.
Berry is now being recruited by some of the top college football programs in the country. His future looks bright, and it seems likely that he will gain even more recognition and success in the future. LSU, Miami, Alabama, Florida State, Ohio State, Florida, Auburn, USC, Tennessee, and Oregon all have formal offers on the table.
Berry is one of the top RBs in the country for the 2025 class, yet he and his high school teammates really embrace the surrounding community. He himself is a mentor to younger teammates and a role model for aspiring football players. Harlem is also involved in a number of community outreach programs, and works hard to ensure a bright future for the communities that surround him and his school.
The overall speed and quickness are the two main attributes that separate Berry from others in this class. Clocked at 4.37 40 yard dash, he is one of the fastest players in the country and that speed translates to games. He has the ability to make one cut and run away, his burst is explosive leaving most defenders in the dust. However, I look to see him continue to put on good weight which will give him an advantage adding the ability to go through defenders not just around. Berry will be a great addition to any school looking for a true three down back!
