I think the sign of a really good leader Is when you mold and gravitate other People to be leaders around you right And take on other roles I think too many People get caught in I want you to stay Down here so I could be up here I'm like The opposite of that like I want you Know like a lot of the coaches from my Aou program you know they've mentored Over me under me for the last couple Years and now they're getting head Coaching jobs in high school like I love To see that right so because I had a Little bit of an impact on what they're Doing You know and they'll call me constantly What would you do in this situation what Would you do here and some of it's Basketball and some of it's not but I Think like I've always said that great Leaders the best way you can tell if Someone's a great boss manager or leader Is If eventually they're promoting other People to be that themselves like you Don't want to keep people down um you Know and with that said some people Don't want that right like some people Just want to be assistants or don't want That role because they see how hard it Is and I have a couple of people like That but I've had other people that have Worked with us that have now gone on to Be head coaches at different programs And whatever and I'm that bitter about
That I'm excited about that like someone Comes to me and says hey you know like I Had one person like oh would you mind if I went and applied for this job I'm like Would you mind I was like let me write You a referral like let me help you get There here are the things I think you're Great at here's what you're you have to Expect that you don't see that I just do And take care of
