Dominic Rodriguez: Joyce Kilmer Middle School: U14 WR brings home the MVP Trophy at the Boardwalk Beasts first Tryout of the 2024 Season !!!

Dominic Rodriguez, participated in an early off-season showcase presented by NUC Sports/Boardwalk Beasts 7v7 Football club in which he took home MVP honors.

Rodriguez came and showed he belonged to be a part of the Boardwalk Beasts organization. He displayed great athleticism during the agility station portion of the day. The WR displayed the ability to change direction and had above average speed both in drills and in the competition period. Participants went through a variety of drills to display their overall agility ability. He put on a show with his quickness and lateral movement at each and every station.

Dominic had great footwork and excellent technique for position specific drills. He also was one of the few players that played multiple positions on both sides of the ball. Offensively he did a little bit of everything, playing RB and WR. On the defensive side of the ball he covered opponents from the LB position as well as a DB spot. The ability to cover from both press and off coverage separated him from the other participants.

In terms of physical ability, he is both smooth and athletic and used those skills and abilities to make sure he was in the right position to compete on every snap. He displayed great Football knowledge in running his routes making adjustments on the fly. The Athlete displayed great footwork at every position. Rodriguez also had slime of best hands across all levels!

As a 14U player Dominic will continue to improve. He has that “go getter” mentality on and off the field. The BOARDWALK BEASTS Organization is surely in good hands with the addition of Rodriguez, he gives the team versatility on both sides of the ball!. Combining more snaps with more opportunities playing against higher level talent will help in developing his skills.
