Caleb Cunningham: Choctaw County High School Football – named NUC 5 Star !!!
Caleb Cunningham, a junior at Choctaw County High School in Ackerman, Mississippi has recently been recognized for his football excellence. He has earned himself a 5 star rating from NUC Sports, and is seen as a top college football prospect for the 2025 class.
Caleb, has been playing football since he was a young and attributes much of his success to the hard work and time he put in while growing up. He learned at an early age his natural athleticism was something that could separate himself from others. Training was something he started to take an interest in and enjoy. He has a tremendous desire to compete, no matter what the sport. As a basketball player for the varsity team he averaged 20 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocks as a sophomore. Recognition continues to come more and more as he develops and his body matures. In Track, Caleb posted a 21.7 long jump, a 43.4 triple jump, and a 6 foot high jump.
The 6-3’ 185 pound wide receiver has always been a major contributor to his team, but his athleticism is what separates him from others. A natural athlete with big time speed, Caleb is a proven team leader and a reliable asset both on and off the field. The moment never seems to be too Big for him, usually making the BIG PLAY when it’s needed most.
In terms of physical ability, Cunningham has excellent feet and burst. Additionally, his power and explosion make him a huge matchup issue for defenders. He has phenomenal hands with a great leaping ability. All of these attributes helped him earn his five-star rating from NUC Sports. The 2025 top prospect as a junior was responsible for 48 catches for 1,138 yards and 14 TD’s. He set the school record for yards and catches in a season.
The 2025 prospect is now being recruited by some of the top college football programs in the country. His future looks bright, and it seems likely that he will gain even more recognition in the future. Power Five schools such as Mississippi State, Louisville, Oklahoma, LSU, Florida State, Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, and Tennessee
Off the field, Cunningham takes an active role as a leader both in the locker room and in the community. He enjoys mentoring younger players and demonstrating what a good role model should be for aspiring student athletes. He and his teammates are also involved in a number of community outreach programs, and work hard to ensure a bright future for the communities that they serve.
