Yeah I think when you sit down and Actually realize that both parent and Coach regardless of the sport sport Should be working toward the same goal Which is the betterment of that child Now betterment doesn't mean you're going To make them a starter you know they may Not be ready for that they some kids are Better bench players or role players and They ever will be starters some people May not more than a couple minutes a Game but if they're going out there and Giving their best they're learning the Lessons through practice of of hard work And earning your spot and teamwork and The chemistry that's going to uh be Involved in any kind of team environment To help you be successful Beyond Basketball or football or baseball Whatever sport it is uh and that's one Of the things that I took to heart was Trying to get my kids no matter where I Coach male or female to understand that There's there's something first of all To be a part of a team you're part of Something much bigger than yourself but At the end of the day there's a whole Big wide world out there that you're Going to get ready for that you may Never even play basketball again but you Can take some of these skill sets and The things that you learn from this game From getting along with your teammates From the successes and failures that you
Have that can help you down the road yes And you know the sad part of it is that It's becoming more and more prevalent um And the the issue that has to you know For high school sports which is the Beauty unique thing that we have in the Not just our state but the United States
