Travaris Banks: Hillcrest High School Football New 5 Star looks to get better everyday.
Travaris Banks is a Junior at Hillcrest High School in Tuscaloosa, AL. He has recently been lauded for his football excellence. He recently earned a five-star rating from NUC Sports, and is seen as a top prospect for college football.
Banks, a 6-1’ 190 pound safety from Hillcrest High School in Alabama finished his 2022 season with 42 tackles and 6 PBU’s. He also added over 1,200 all-purpose yards and 8 TD’s.
Travaris has always been a major contributor to his team, but his work ethic and natural athletic ability really began to shine through during his sophomore year. During this time, he proved himself to be a team leader and a reliable asset on the field. He was often the go-to player when his team was in need of a big play.
In terms of physical ability, Travaris is a natural athlete. He has quick feet and speed, making him a powerful presence in the defensive backfield. Additionally, his strength and power are top-notch. He also has the ability to be in the right spot at the right time. The safety uses his explosiveness and power to run his feet through ball carries ultimately pushing them back, something college coaches love to see. All of these attributes helped him earn his five-star rating from NUC Sports.
Banks is currently being recruited by some of the top college football programs in the country. The class of 2024 defensive back plays 7v7 for The Southern Express in AL. His future looks bright, and it seems likely that he will gain even more recognition and success in the future. Hillcrest High School can be proud to have had him as a student, and Banks is sure to go far in his collegiate career.

Off the field, Travaris is a leader both in the locker room and in the community. He mentors younger players and is always looking to be a good example. He is involved in a number of community outreach programs, with both his teammates and other community members.
