Ryder Lyons: Folsom High School Football – 2026 5 Star QB is out to make a statement !!!
Ryder Lyons, a 2026 prospect at Folsom High School in California, has recently been lauded for his football excellence. The 2026 prospect recently earned a five-star rating from NUC Sports, and is seen as a top prospect for college football.
Lyons has been playing football since he was a young child, and attributes much of his success to the hard work and dedication he put in while growing up. His older brother Ryder started seriously training once he entered high school and really started to gain recognition as he and his body continued to grow and mature.
Ryder has always been a major contributor to his teams, his work ethic and natural athletic ability really began to shine through post middle school. During this time, he proved himself to be a team leader and a reliable asset on the field. Coaches often want the ball in his hand when his team is in need of a big play. As a sophomore and first year starter, he led Folsom High to three 4th quarter winning drives in the biggest games of the season!
In terms of physical ability, Lyons is a natural athlete. He has great feet allowing him to really step into his throws and deliver an accurate ball. Additionally, he possesses a top-notch release, it’s both smooth and quick allowing him to throw a very catchable ball. You can see he has the athletic ability to make all the throws needed. His football IQ from a QB perspective is extremely high for a guy his age.
All of these attributes helped him earn his five-star rating from NUC Sports.
Lyons is now recruited by some of the top college football programs in the country. His future looks bright, and it seems likely that he will gain even more recognition and success in the future. He is seeing a lot of interest from schools such as USC, Washington, Oregon, Auburn, Ole Miss, Georgia, Florida, Michigan, Florida State, and Notre Dame among others.
As a sophomore he led his team to a 13-2 record, winning the sectional final, regional final, and state bowl game with 4th quarter drives! Overall his stats were mind blowing, going 259 for 381 for 3,578 yards and 38 touchdowns in the air. Using his legs, he accounted for 929 yards on 226 carries and 23 touchdowns!
Off the field, the 2026 QB is a leader both in the locker room and in the community. He is a mentor to the younger players and a role model for aspiring student athletes. He is also involved in a number of community outreach programs, and works hard to ensure a bright future for the communities he serves.
