Dallas South Event

The Dallas south event was full of competitive talent from in state and out of state athletes. There were a number of talented athletes that came out to compete at the Dallas event. From the combine testing to the position drill and 2on2s the event was nothing but high intensity and athletes that showed great football skills and athleticism.
Daxton Byers (2019) OL Deer Creek HS (OK) 6’5” 293lbs
Byers is a big time lineman that that uses his hands and feet very well. He consistently finished blocks showing great lateral movement and an explosive punch with his hands. Byers has the size and strength to be a big time player. He was the camps Overall MVP.
Chancellor Carter (2019) DB Mansfield HS (LA) 5’10 163lbs
Carter is a strong defensive back that is very athletic with great ball skills. He has the ability to close on a receiver and has the ball skills to break up passes. Carter showed good technique in the drills. He was one of the DB MVPs of the camp.
Gage Smith (2020) DB Sherman HS (TX) 5’11 ½” 168lbs
Smith was another strong defensive back. He used his technique and his knowledge of the game to cover any receiver. He is very physical when breaking on the ball and skilled at using his body to make contact with the receiver. Smith was also DB MVP of the event.
Daniel Oats Jr. (2019) RB James Martin HS 5’ 10 ½ 170lbs
Oats outshined and was one of the most impressive athletes at the event. His testing numbers were unbelievable. 4.33 40yd dash, 4.25 Pro Agility, 37in Vertical along with a 9’9” broad. He followed those incredible numbers up with a solid day of work as a running back. He was the camp Combine King.
Other Notable Performers
Jaylen Estelle (2020) LB Lancaster HS (TX) Physical linebacker with good speed. He can cover back out of the backfield and the slot.
Kevaris Hall (2020) WR Red Oak HS (TX) Tall receiver with the ability to stretch the defense. He showed good hands and solid route running.
Braylon Monroe (2020) QB West Mesquite HS (TX) Showed great accuracy and was tough with the ball. Good athlete with the ability to throw the ball deep.
Jacobe Robinson (2023) QB Lewisville HS 5’10” (TX) 147lbs
Robinson was the shining star of the camp. He surprised the coaches with his ability great touch on the ball and to make accurate throws with good technique. He can make any throw which is good for a kid of his age. He has the size and tools to be a very special player. He was the 7th-9th overall MVP.
Jamal Robinson (2023) WR Lewisville HS (TX) 5’1” 107lbs
Robinson is a shifty and quick wide receiver that showed great technique with his route running. He uses his stem well and was excellent in and out of his break. He has great hands with the ability to catch the ball in traffic. He was Coach Johnson’s top performer.
Derrick Arnold (2021) QB Madison Central HS (MS) 5’8” 176lbs
Arnold is a strong accurate armed young QB, with good footwork. He got stronger as the event went on. He was very impressive in the 2on2s and the 1on1s making good decisions with the ball. Arnold showed the ability to make throws with touch and accuracy.
Matt Jones (2021)RB Jackson Prep HS (MS) 5’7” 153lbs
Jones is a great all purpose back. He showed great footwork in the drills, 1on1s and 2on2s. Jones was great at catching the ball out the backfield. He showed great ability to change directions throughout the day. He was the RB MVP of the camp.
Other Notable Performers
Courtlin Scott (2023) Scrade MS (TX) This young Wideout was performed very well throughout the day. He showed great technique and hands throughout the day.
Gavyn Beane (2021) Caddo Mills (TX) Has very good routes and catches the ball very well. He showed good technique throughout the day.
William Glenn (2023) Byrd Middle School (TX) Raw talent with good hands. He has great upside and possesses the ability to be a good player.
