Maxwell Roy: St. Joseph Prep Football Newest NUC 5 Star has Passion and Power !!!
Maxwell Roy, a junior at St. Joseph Prep High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania has recently been recognized for his football excellence. He has earned a five-star rating from NUC Sports, and is seen as a top college football prospect for the 2025 class.
Roy has been playing football since he was a young kid, and attributes much of his success to the hard work and dedication he put in while growing up. Training got real as he progressed in his High School career and started to take his work outs up a notch. The recognition started to come more and more as he developed.
The 6-3’ 270 pound Defensive Lineman has always been a major contributor to his team, but his work ethic and natural athletic ability for a Big Man really began to shine as he matured. During this time, he proved himself to be a team leader and a reliable asset both on and off the field. It wasn’t long before coaches and teammates looked to him to make the big play when needed !!
In terms of physical ability, Roy is a natural athlete. He has quick feet for a kid his size with an exceptional first step. Additionally, his power and explosion off the ball allows for him to get his hands on the offensive player first, winning the battle. Young players have a tendency to not run to the ball, however this is not the case, it’s not rare to see Roy chasing down the plays from sideline to sideline with a motor that never stops. All of these attributes helped him earn his five-star rating from NUC Sports.
The 2025 prospect is now being recruited by some of the top college football programs in the country. His future looks bright, and it seems likely that he will gain even more recognition in the future. Power Five schools such as Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee, USC, Wisconsin, South Carolina, Pittsburgh, and Rutgers have all formally offered!!
Off the field, Roy takes an active role as a leader both in the locker room and in the community. He looks to be a mentor to younger players and a role model for aspiring football players. He is also involved in a number of community outreach programs, and works hard to ensure a bright future for the communities he serves.
