Jadyn Davis: Providence Day High School Football – NUC 5 Star Quarterback picks Michigan !!!
Jadyn Davis, just finished his Junior Season at Providence Day School in Charlotte, North Carolina. The 2024 quarterback has recently been awarded a 5 star rating by NUC Sports. Labeled as a Dual-Threat, this guy will be a big time player at the next level. Davis has recently verbally committed to Jim Harbaugh and the University of Michigan, making him the second NUC 5 STAR to commit to Michigan this spring.
The 6 foot 1’ 200 pound QB is a top 10 player in the 2024 class. The attributes are off the charts. He can run and has excellent speed for a guy at his size. The arm talent jumps off film, constantly demonstrating his arm strength. He has the ability to throw on the run, both on designed role outs, and scramble plays. Jadyn’s tremendous touch and accuracy allows him to put throws in specific windows where wide receivers can now catch and run.
The intangibles may be some of his best qualities. He is a great leader, something all coaches want their Quarterbacks to be. It just comes so naturally to him, when he steps into a huddle, his teammates listen. Davis is the ultimate competitor, after losing earlier in the season, he came back and threw 6 touchdown passes against the same team in State Finals to win a State Title.
Davis took home a bunch of awards post 2022 season. He was named Gatorade Player of the Year for North Carolina as well as North Carolina Mr. Football. He passed for over 3,400 yards, 43 passing touchdowns, going 221 for 305. The 2024 QB also plays for Cam Newton’s CN1 7 on 7 Club !!
Jadyn is the son of a Marine. His parents have been very involved in his recruiting process, instilling a “no books, no ball” approach. The top prospect was courted by some of college football’s biggest programs. His future looks bright, and it seems likely that he will gain even more recognition and success at the next level. He held offers from some big time schools, Tennessee, LSU, North Carolina, Ohio State, Clemson, Georgia, Alabama, Michigan, and Miami all had formal offers on the table. The latest top 5 before his decision were Tennessee, North Carolina, Michigan, Ohio State, and Clemson.
The University of Michigan has gotten perhaps the Best Overall QB in the class of 2024. Academics played a big role in making Michigan the choice. Davis has said that the glitz and glam of facilities, really didn’t play a factor in where he went, but rather was looking for true relationships with players and coaches. I would look to see this guy compete for the starting job from the time he gets on campus !!
