Jackson Cantwell: Nixa High School Football: Top 2026 OL makes 5 Star Splash with NUC Sports !!!
Jackson Cantwell, a sophomore at Nixa High School in Nixa, Missouri has recently been lauded for his football excellence. He recently earned a five-star rating from NUC Sports, and is seen as a top prospect for college football.
Cantwell has been around sports since he was a young child, and attributes much of his success to the hard work and dedication he saw his parents put in while growing up. Jackson’s parents were both Olympic athletes. His father Christian Cantwell is a 5 time world champion and won a silver medal in the shot put at the 2008 Beijing games and his mother Teri Steer participated in the 2000 Sydney games! He started taking it to the next level once he hit high school and with that began to gain recognition.
Jackson, no matter what sport, is a major contributor to his team, but his work ethic and natural athletic ability really began to shine through during his freshman year. During this time, he proved himself to be a team leader and a reliable asset on the field. He is often the go-to player when his team is in need of a big play, lineman or not, he makes an impact.
In terms of physical ability, Cantwell as previously stated is a natural athlete. He has excellent feet for a player at 6.7” 200 pounds. He has a rare combination of strength and power, making him a powerful presence at the line of scrimmage. Additionally, his football IQ is incredibly high giving him a distinct advantage at such a young age . All of these attributes helped him earn his five-star rating from NUC Sports.
Jackson is now being recruited by some of the top college football programs in the country. His future looks bright, and it seems likely that he will gain even more recognition and success in the future as he continues to grow and mature. Nixa High School should be proud to have him as a student, and Cantwell is sure to go far in his collegiate career.
Cantwell is a multi-sport athlete. He participates in both varsity basketball and track. As a freshman he won the Missouri 5A state title and set an all time record with a throw of 64-3.75 in the shot put. He also took second in discus with a throw of 190-7.75. Jackson is also a great student, scoring an 33 on your ACT!
Off the field, Jackson sets a great example for the youth. He is a leader both in the locker room and in the community as a mentor and role model to younger student athletes. He is also involved in a number of community outreach programs, and he works hard to ensure a bright future for the communities around him.
The sky’s the limit for this 2026 prospect. He will only continue to develop and mature as he progresses through his high school career. Power Five schools such as Missouri, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Miami, Arkansas, Tennessee, Oregon, and Florida State to name a few. I look forward to seeing this guy continue to grow both on and off the field!
