QUICK BIO

Ekene Ogboko – South Garner High School, North Carolina – Big Time OL named NUC 5 Star talent for the 2026 Class!!!

Ekene is just finishing his Sophomore school year at South Garner High School in Durham, North Carolina and has recently been lauded for his football excellence. Ogboko has been tabbed as one of the country’s best players in the class of 2026.  He has recently earned a five-star rating from NUC Sports, and is seen as not only a top OL prospect across the nation.

The 6’6” 295 pounder has a tremendous first step.  His speed and explosiveness set him apart from others allowing him to fire off the ball and get into opponents before they can even get out of their stance.  Ekene plays a physical game, never shying from contact and always looking for work within the play.  Having both above average hand strength and great hand position makes for a tough match-up with any opposing defender.

The top 2026 recruit attributes much of his success to the hard work and dedication he put in while growing up.  Ogoko has always been a major contributor to his team, but his work ethic and natural athletic ability really began to surface as he has developed and evolved as a player on and off the field.  Once he entered High School, it wasn’t long before he and others realized he was a stand out player even at such a young age.

Ogboko already has a slew of top college football programs in the country looking for his services. His future looks bright, and it seems likely that he will gain even more recognition and success in the future.  Syracuse, Auburn, Alabama, USC, South Carolina, Georgia, Miami, Florida State, and UNC are just a few of the schools who would love to have this guy on their roster and will continue to recruit even with his verbal commitment.

Off the field, Ekene is a leader both in the locker room and in the community. He is a mentor to younger players and a role model for aspiring student-athletes.  The team is also involved in a number of community outreach programs, which he takes pride in working hard to ensure a bright future for the communities he serves.

The future looks extremely bright for this 2026 top prospect. Stay on the look out for this guy to only increase his status based on another big year for South Garner.  The national prospect will be a key factor in his team’s success.  I look for him to continue to mature and develop into a guy we will eventually be seeing on Sundays!
