Carter Nelson – Ainsworth, Nebraska – this Monster has earned an NUC 5 Star Rating for the 2024 Class !!!
Carter Nelson just finished his Junior Season at Ainsworth High School in Ainsworth, Nebraska and has recently been lauded for his football excellence. Nelson is one of the most interesting recruits in the 2024 class. He plays not 11 man, bur 8 Man Football, varsity Basketball, and is one of the top track performers in the state. He has recently earned a five-star rating from NUC Sports, and is seen as a top prospect for college football.
Nelson attributes much of his success to the hard work and dedication he put in while growing up. He started seriously training when he entered high school. The training has definitely paid off, as the big time athlete is coming off a big 2022 season. He played both sides of the football compiling 663 yards passing with 15 TDs, 761 yards rushing with 14 TDs, and over 500 yards receiving with 11 TDs of offense and 41 tackles with 6 interceptions on defense.
The top 2024 recruit has always been a major contributor to his team, but his work ethic and natural athletic ability really began to surface as he developed and evolved as a player on and off the field. During this time, he proved himself a major asset and a reliable teammate not only during games but in the locker room as well. He has great speed and at 6-5’ 215 pound specimen that delivers a major burst after the catch. He has tremendous ball skills and athleticism which gives him the advantage over most opponents. He is a participant on the Boys Varsity Basketball Team and The Varsity Track Team where he won the state High Jump title as a Freshman !!
In terms of physical ability, Nelson plays to his size and it shows. He has excellent feet and a great first step, making him explosive off the ball. Additionally, he is strong and explosive, catching everything that touches his hands. All of these attributes helped him earn his five-star rating from NUC Sports.
Carter is considered by most as the number 1 overall player in the state of Nebraska. He is now being recruited by some of the top college football programs in the country. His future looks bright, and it seems likely that he will gain even more recognition and success in the future. Georgia, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Alabama, Auburn, Penn State, Miami, Oklahoma, Texas, and Michigan all have offers on the table.
The transition from 8 man to 11 man football isn’t something I think any college program would or should be alarmed about. Nelson is a high level competitor who has competed at the highest levels since he was in middle school, the adjustment will take hard work.
