Peyton Manning is considered one of the Greatest quarterbacks in the history of The National Football League NFL He was born on March 24 1976 in New Orleans Louisiana and grew Up in a family of football players His father Archie Manning was a former NFL quarterback and his younger brother Eli Manning also went on to play in the NFL Peyton Manning attended the University Of Tennessee where he played college Football for the volunteers He had an impressive college career Winning numerous Awards including the Maxwell award the Davey O'Brien award And the Johnny Unitas award in 1998 he Was the first overall pick in the NFL Draft and was selected by the Indianapolis Colts During his 14 Seasons with the Colts Manning established himself as one of The greatest quarterbacks in NFL history He won four NFL Most Valuable Player MVP Awards and led the Colts to two Super Bowl appearances winning one in 2007. Manning was known for his exceptional Accuracy decision making and ability to Read defenses He set numerous NFL records including The most career touchdown passes and the Most passing yards in a single season In 2012 Manning underwent neck surgery And missed the entire season
The Colts released him and he signed With the Denver Broncos the following Year Manning had a remarkable season with the Broncos in 2013 setting NFL records for Touchdown passes in a single season and Passing yards in a single season he won His fifth MVP award that year and led The Broncos to the Super Bowl where they Lost to the Seattle Seahawks Manning announced his retirement from Football in March 2016. after 18 seasons In the NFL He finished his career with numerous Records and accolades including two Super Bowl championships five MVP awards And 14 Pro Bowl selections Manning is Widely regarded as one of the greatest Quarterbacks in NFL history and a future Hall of Famer
