Elijah Burress: DePaul Catholic High School Football : the latest NUC 5 Star will EXPLODE onto the scene this Season !!!!!

Elijah Burress, a junior at DePaul Catholic High School in New Jersey, will look to make an immediate impact as a 2025 rising Junior.  He has recently been lauded for his football excellence. He recently earned a five-star rating from NUC Sports, and is seen as a top prospect for college football.

Burress has a passion for playing football and attributes much of his success to the hard work and dedication he put in while growing up. Yes, being the son of former NFL WR and Super Bowl Champion Plaxico Burress, football rises to the top. 

An all around Athlete, Elijah also plays basketball for the Spartans.  He started seriously training when he entered high school and gained recognition as he developed.  As a freshman he displayed his athleticism and versatility, opening a lot of eyes.

He has always been a major contributor to his team, but his work ethic and natural athletic ability really began to shine as he matured. During this time, he proved himself to be a team leader and a reliable asset on the field. Standing 6-2 and weighing 180 pounds, his athleticism allows him to make game changing plays.  

He has great ball skills and above average leaping ability.  The crispness and control he displays while executing his routes is above average, coupled with phenomenal hands and great twitch, you have a top player.  All of these attributes helped him earn his five-star rating from NUC Sports.

DePaul Catholic plays arguably one of the toughest schedules in the country, with National Power Houses Bergen Catholic and Don Bosco Prep both lining up on opposing sidelines.  Burress looks to continue the winning tradition alongside a cast of players who will end up playing at the next level.

Elijah dealt with a nagging injury as a sophomore. This injury really limited his ability to do what he does great.  I look forward to a 2023 season where this guy really jumps on the scene.  He has been in contact with numerous college programs who are looking for his services. He is a top level talent with top level work ethic, a gritty hardnose attention to detail type of guy who will only get better with more reps !!
