Hezekiah Harris: Jemison High School – NUC Sports names latest 5 Star OLB !!!
Hezekiah Harris, is a soon to be junior at Jemison High School in Huntsville, Alabama and has recently been named a five-star talent by NUC Sports. He is now being considered as one of the top college football prospects for the 2026 class!
Harris is listed as an OLB but like a lot of these new age defensive players, he has the ability to basically play multiple positions on defense. As he grows and continues to train his body and in the right system he could see playing time at the EDGE position as well. This spot is a somewhat hybrid of a Defensive End and Outside Linebacker, which shows his versatility from the start.
Hezekiah has been involved in athletics since he was a young child, and attributes much of his success to the hard work and dedication he displayed while growing up. Once he entered High School he intensified his training and began to see more and more results. Harris continues to train at a high level and it has only brought him more and more recognition as he continues to mature.
The 2026 prospect has always taken pride in being a big time contributor to his team, but his work ethic and natural athletic ability are what set him apart from others. Since entering high school he has proven himself to be a team leader and a reliable asset on and off the field. The team and coaching staff often look to him to make a big time or meaningful play when needed.
In terms of physical ability, Harris is a 6’5” 220 pound athlete. He has a great first step allowing him to win at the line of scrimmage. The 2026 prospect can with speed or power. Hezekiah creates a tremendous match-up problem with his length and versatility, possessing the ability to line up in multiple spots with either his hand on the ground or standing up. The OLB is your new age “EDGE” guy with that rare mix of speed and power! Additionally, his football IQ and understanding of the game within the game are top-notch. He finishes plays with authority and has a relentless motor, often chasing down opposing players and making tackles from the opposite side of the field. All of these attributes helped him earn his five-star rating from NUC Sports.
The 2026 prospect is now being recruited by some of the top college football programs in the country. His future looks bright, and it seems likely that he will gain even more recognition and success in the future. Schools such as USC, Florida State, Georgia, Florida, Auburn, Miss. State, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Penn State, and Ole Miss have all extended formal and committable offers.
Off the field, Harris takes a huge amount of pride in being a leader both in the locker room and in the community. He mentors younger student athletes and is a role model for aspiring football players. Hezekiah and his teammates are also involved in a number of community outreach programs, and work hard to ensure a bright future for the communities they serve!
