The landscape of college football isn't built on Saturday afternoons; it’s built years in advance in the dirt, the film rooms, and the high school stadium lights on Friday nights. At Boardwalk Beasts Football Club, we don't just watch the game, we scout the future. We are looking for the dawgs, the guys who don’t just want to play at the next level but want to own it.
Right now, the Class of 2027 is starting to separate the contenders from the pretenders. And while 2027 feels like it’s just around the corner, we are already keeping a sharp eye on the 2031 cycle. If you think it’s too early to talk about middle schoolers, you’ve already lost the race.
Here are six athletes, four from 2027 and two from 2031, who are currently redefining dominance in their respective classes.
The Class of 2027: The Elite Vanguard
The 2027 class is loaded with "Sunday talent" playing on Friday nights. These four athletes have already caught the attention of the biggest programs in the country, and for good reason.
1. DJ Jacobs (EDGE) – Blessed Trinity Catholic
Status: Committed to Ohio State | Rating: 75
When scouts talk about "hell on wheels off the edge," they are talking about DJ Jacobs. Playing out of Blessed Trinity Catholic in Georgia, Jacobs has the kind of twitch and bend that keeps offensive coordinators awake at night. It’s no surprise that Ryan Day and the Buckeyes locked him up early.
Jacobs isn't just a speed rusher; he plays with a violent streak that is rare for a sophomore. He understands leverage, he has a repertoire of hand moves that looks like a senior’s, and his motor never stops. For Ohio State, getting a commitment from a premium EDGE defender of this caliber this early is a massive win. He fits the mold of the elite defensive ends that have passed through Columbus over the last decade. Expect him to be a foundational piece of that Big Ten defense.

2. Elijah Haven (QB) – Dunham School
Status: Alabama Interest | Rating: 75
If you are looking for the #1 player in the country for 2027, look no further than Baton Rouge. Elijah Haven is the real deal. Standing with a "super-sized" frame and a cannon for an arm, Haven is the prototype for the modern elite quarterback.
As a freshman, he was a second-team all-state selection, showing poise well beyond his years across 11 starts. He has "above-rim" athleticism, meaning he’s not just a pocket passer, he’s a dual-threat nightmare who can extend plays and punish defenses with his legs. While he hasn't signed his life away yet, the interest from Alabama is heavy. Whether he stays in the SEC or ventures elsewhere, Haven is a lock to be a Heisman contender in a few years. 3. David Gabriel Georges (RB) – Baylor School
Status: Ohio State Interest | Rating: 75
Explosive. That’s the one word that sums up David Gabriel Georges. Coming out of the Baylor School, Georges is a home-run threat every time he touches the ball. He has the vision to find the smallest crease and the acceleration to disappear once he hits the secondary.
Ohio State is currently the frontrunner for his services, and it’s easy to see why. He fits the mold of a versatile back who can contribute in the passing game as well as between the tackles. He isn't just fast; he’s football-fast. He understands how to set up his blocks and finish runs with authority. When he gets into a college strength and conditioning program, he’s going to be a problem.
4. Kemon Spell (RB) – McKeesport
Status: Committed to Georgia | Rating: 75
Kirby Smart doesn't miss on running backs, and he certainly didn't miss on Kemon Spell. Committed to Georgia, Spell brings that hard-nosed Western PA grit to the backfield. McKeesport has a long history of producing tough, physical athletes, and Spell is the next in line.
He’s a downhill runner with elite contact balance. You aren't bringing him down with a jersey tug. He runs through arm tackles and has the breakaway speed to finish the job. In the Georgia offense, which prizes physical, north-south runners who can also catch out of the backfield, Spell is a perfect fit. He’s already playing at a college level in terms of his physicality.

The Class of 2031: The Next Wave
It’s easy to focus on the guys about to graduate, but the Boardwalk Beasts Football Club is about the long game. We are identifying talent before they even hit high school. These 2031 prospects are already showing the foundational skills to be elite.
5. Tyler Fuhrman (QB) – Jordan High School
Rating: 65
You might think 2031 is far away, but Tyler Fuhrman is already putting in the work. Currently at Jordan High School, Fuhrman is developing into a technician at the quarterback position. He has a clean release and a natural feel for the pocket that you just don't see in kids his age.
While his rating sits at a 65 right now, the ceiling is incredibly high. He’s a student of the game, and as he grows into his frame, that arm strength will catch up to his high-level mechanics. Keep an eye on his development through our passing camps.
6. Christian Bell (C) – TBD
Rating: 65
Every great quarterback needs a center he can trust, and Christian Bell is that anchor. Though his school is still TBD, his impact on the field is not. Playing the center position requires a unique blend of intelligence and physicality. You have to handle the snap, identify the defense, and then move a human being against their will.
Bell is already showing that he can handle the "trench warfare" aspects of the game. He has a strong base and great hand placement. For a 2031 prospect, his understanding of the offensive line's role is advanced. We love seeing big men dominate, and you can find more about our specialized training for the bigs at NUC Sports OL/DL.

Why the Early Evaluation Matters
At Boardwalk Beasts, we believe in the "Competitive" tone of the game. If you wait until your senior year to start the recruiting process, you're 40 yards behind in a 100-yard dash. Programs like Ohio State, Georgia, and Alabama are looking at these 2027 kids because they have already proven they can dominate their peers.
Our recruiting programs are designed to put athletes in front of the right eyes. Whether you are an EDGE rusher like DJ Jacobs or a rising center like Christian Bell, the path to college football is paved with consistent performance at high-level showcases and camps.
Dominance isn't an accident. It’s a habit. It’s about showing up to every practice and every camp with the mindset that you are the best player on the field. That’s the Boardwalk Beasts way. We want players who aren't afraid to compete against the best to become the best.
The Path to the Top
For the Class of 2027, the next two years are about refinement. They have the offers, they have the eyes, now they have to sustain that level of play. For the Class of 2031, it’s about the grind. It’s about building the muscle memory and the football IQ that will make them household names in five years.
We’ve seen it time and time again, the kids who dominate early and keep their foot on the gas are the ones who end up playing on Sundays.
