You just got to do it sometimes you just Got to grit your teeth and try to make a Play and um I think one of the cool Things about being a a special teamer in The league is that it'll take a little Bit for guys to sort of for kind of Click with them on how to be a really Good teamer but then once you see those Guys start to get like a year or two Under their belt in terms of being a Teamer then you'll see them get an Opportunity on defense or offense or Whatever they're on like look at Zack Bond for the Eagles he was a teamer with The Saints and now he's all pro DPI Candidate linebacker for the Eagles but I guarantee you the way he's like Punching the ball out like he learned That long ago when he was like a teamer And he's still on punt right now and you Don't see that a lot from like a Starting middle linebacker in the league Right now but um yeah I mean it's it's Kind of just doing your due diligence Giving back to the game if you want to Call it um doing the dirty work but Eventually when you get to that spot of Like really dominating special teams You'll get your opportunity one way or Another no no doubt about it it's Interesting that you talked about like Punching the ball and obviously that's How you originally you bro broke your Hand and everything I I it's funny
Because so many people are always like Oh you know we should teach our kids a Punch B they don't realize how skilled Punching the ball out the guys in the NFL are able to do it like being able to Run and Tackle somebody at the same time That you're able to punch the ball out And land in the right spot on the ball To be able to punch the guy out and and And by the way have a hand a hand that's Strong enough like like you you teach The average high school kid to punch the Ball out like really punch the ball like The way that you guys punch the ball out
