QUICK BIO

Dia Bell: American Heritage High School Football – Big Time 2026 QB looking to continue Family Legacy at the Highest of Levels !!!

Dia Bell, a 2026 prospect at American Heritage High School in Plantation, Florida, has recently been lauded for his football excellence. The newest Texas commit recently earned a five-star rating from NUC Sports, and is seen as one of the top college football prospects for the 2026 class.

Bell grew up around sports as a child, whether it be basketball, soccer, baseball, or tennis, he played it.  Dia’s father Raja Bell had a great 12 year NBA career being 2 time all NBA Defensive guy.  He started playing football in 3rd grade and attributes much of his success to the hard work and dedication he put in while growing up.  He started seriously training once he entered high school and really started to see a change in his game.

Bell has always been a major contributor to his teams no matter what sport he was participating in, but his work ethic and natural athletic ability really began to shine through once he entered American Heritage High School in Plantation, Florida.  American Heritage is a South Florida perennial Powerhouse producing not only some of the top Teams but some of the top Talent in the country.  During this time, he proved himself to be a team leader and a reliable asset on the field, the leadership role just fit him perfectly.  He is a playmaker, capable of making every throw to go along with the ability to use his legs to make a play.  He is often the guy asked to have the ball in his hands when a big play is needed!

In terms of physical ability, Dia as we have mentioned is a natural athlete.  He has great footwork, allowing him to make throws into tight windows and complete balls with great accuracy.  Additionally, his arm strength and touch are top-notch, allowing him to throw a very catchable ball.  His football IQ from a QB perspective is surprisingly high for a guy that is so young, not just in terms of age, but overall time spent playing in actual games.  All of these attributes helped him earn his five-star rating from NUC Sports.

Dia is now being recruited by some of the top college football programs in the country.  His future looks bright, and it seems likely that he will gain even more recognition and success in the future.  He has recently given a hard verbal commitment to the national power University of Texas.  He picked the Longhorns over some of the top programs in the country and I am sure will continue to be recruited even with having already verbally committed to a national school.

As a freshman, Bell averaged 20.7 points and 4.6 rebounds per game for the varsity basketball team.  This past season he was 122 for 189 passing for 20 TDs and led his team deep into the playoffs.

Off the field, the 2026 QB is a leader both in the locker room and in the community. He is a mentor to the younger players and a role model for aspiring student athletes.  He is involved in a number of community outreach programs, and works hard to ensure a bright future for the communities he serves.

Dia has the pedigree and mindset to be one of the best players to come out of the 2026 class.  American Heritage has always produced a ton of high level division 1 football talent, but in recent years the South Florida school has become a leader in producing NFL talent.  The American Heritage Patriots have had 11 players drafted since 2010.  Bell could be the next in line for the Dade County school as he will look to lead the patriots to yet another Florida State Championships.
