Angelo Stallone: Monsignor Farrell Football: 2027 LB named NUC WINTERFEST Prospect Showcase LB MVP !!!
Angelo Stallone, a current freshman at Monsignor Farrell High School in Staten Island, New York recently attended NUC’s WINTERFEST Prospect Showcase and walked away with some MVP hardware. The prospect showcase put on display some of the tri-state’s top football playing talent from middle school through high school. Players participated in NFL Combine like drills, agility work, individual positional skills, and one on one competition periods. Overall, Stallone turned heads and is now being looked at as one of the area’s top players.
Stallone, a 2027 prospect, had a fantastic day dominating all phases of the event. He ran solid times, clocking a 5.03 in the 40, a 4.69 shuttle, and had a broad jump of 8.2”. In the competition phase he played fast. Stallone has played both sides of the ball at Farrell, offensively as a FB and defensively as a LB, excelling at both.
In terms of physical ability, at 5.11” 170 pounds, his feet may be his best attribute. As a LB he used his strength and power to press and jam opponents at the line of scrimmage throwing opponents off. Angelo displayed great foot and hand work when it came to placement on his strike. He used his athleticism to throw WR’s off their routes which disrupted the timing from the QB. His angles in coverage were precise with very little extra movement.
It will be exciting to see how Stallone continues to develop and mature on and off the field. His ability to play multiple positions allows him to see more reps and more plays which will benefit him in his upcoming season. I look for this guy to continue to perfect his game and lead by example moving forward in his career!
