Nasir Wyatt, a junior at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California has recently been lauded for his football excellence. He recently earned a five-star rating from NUC Sports, and is seen as a top 2025 prospect for college football.
Wyatt has been playing football since he was a young kid and attributes much of his success to the hard work and dedication he put in while growing up. He fell in love with off the field work and started seriously training when he hit high school. The training and work helped him start to gain recognition as he developed.
Nasir has always been a major contributor to his team, but his work ethic and natural athletic ability has helped him play early and often in high school. Mater Dei is a national powerhouse program, to see any playing time as a freshman is something to be said, yet Wyatt even recorded some stats with 7 tackles, 1 sack and a forced fumble. He began to prove to his team he was a leader and could be a reliable asset on the field. Sophomore year he was a Max-Prep All American and The Trinity League Defensive Player of the Year adding 27.5 tackles, 13 sacks and 3 forced fumbles. He was often the player who helped his team when in need of a big play.
In terms of physical ability, Nasir is a natural athlete. He has quick feet and great body control, making him very explosive off the line of scrimmage. He is a powerful presence usually ending up in the offensive backfield. Additionally, his quick twitch and speed are top-notch. All of these attributes helped him earn his five-star rating from NUC Sports.
Wyatt is now being recruited by some of the top college football programs in the country. His future looks bright, and it seems likely that he will gain even more recognition and success in the future. Michigan, Ohio State, Tennessee, Georgia, UCLA, Alabama, Oregon, USC, Notre Dame, and Texas A&M all have formal offers on the table.
Off the field, Nasir is a leader both in the locker room and in the community. He is a mentor to younger players and a role model for aspiring student athletes. He is also involved in a number of community outreach programs, and works hard to ensure a bright future for the local communities.
