Now you see a a large presence of guys That either come into college right away Like as like a student assistant or a Manager some some different role to be Able to learn the game while they're in College and then come out literally out Of college with jobs right or guys who Came in maybe played a year and then at The end of their High uh College uh as They're getting towards the end of their Education help out as a student Assistant get a get a job that has Become an and you see head coaches all Over you know I think it's I think it's Arizona's head coach you know didn't Play in college and and and there's a Lot of guys now um you I guess you you You started uh uh you're one Mike but You and then obviously Mike Leech was a Famous name with respect to that like Was put out there that he didn't you Know play in college any football um What is it what is it about that you've Seen like with the opportunities that Happen now for younger coaches that they Don't have to they could actually choose Coaching as an actual career because Back when you started that wasn't really Like kind of a thought process as a Career no you know uh you're right you Know there were some things that were Clear back then right you could know What the path was to get to be a coach Okay if you could get yourself a
Part-time job as a coach right there and Then you get a graduate assistant well You had a pretty good chance of getting A full-time job and that was pretty Clear path
