The football story of Eli Manning Eli Manning is a former American football Quarterback who played in the National Football League NFL for 16 seasons He is best known for leading the New York Giants to two Super Bowl victories In 2008 and 2012 and was named the most Valuable player MVP of both games Manning was born in New Orleans Louisiana in 1981. he attended the University of Mississippi where he Played college football for the Ole Miss Rebels he was considered one of the top Quarterback prospects in the country and Was selected first overall by the San Diego Chargers in the 2004 NFL draft However Manning refused to play for the Chargers and was eventually traded to The New York Giants where he spent his Entire NFL career he struggled in his First few seasons but in 2007 he led the Giants to a Super Bowl victory over the Undefeated New England Patriots one of The biggest upsets in NFL history Manning's performance in the 2008 Super Bowl was particularly impressive as he Led the Giants on a game-winning Touchdown Drive in the final minutes of The game he was named the game's MVP for His efforts Four years later Manning and the Giants Faced off against the Patriots once Again in Super Bowl 46. once again Manning LED his team to a victory
