Talk talk About kind of how first of all how you Got into athletic Administration and and You know that first part of your part of Your career and then and and then talk About coaching as well um and then we'll Kind of lead into obviously all the Stuff that you're doing now but talk Talk about those kind of initial careers For yourself yeah I I coached for about 20 years both men and women I started Off as a a graduate assistant men's Basketball at Kent State University okay Um and uh in my first uh you know this This story is like a lot of people back In the day so to speak but my first five Years as an assistant coach I made $36,000 total yeah in a couple of those Years I was married and I was still but That was all I was doing was I was Full-time not that HR knew I was Full-time but I was full-time mentality Wise and that's a very similar story for A lot of us right like that's kind of What it is you don't hear about that as Much anymore you know I sound like old Man on the you know get off my lawn but You know back in the day people were Paying their dues a little bit more but Um you know I coached for a while had Some success had some failures um you Know was good and bad at different times Learned a lot I eventually had an Opportunity to go be an athletic
Director a High School athletic director At Maran Indiana the Maran Giants which Is uh you know toward the top
